Types of spherical lens

Hey kids! Special announcement: Something really cool and brand new Spherical Lenses are such interesting things, we shall get into the different types of them. It’s going to be fun!

The shape of the lenses: Spherical Lenses are curved and spherical in round. Spherical Lenses: Spherical lenses are categorized as convex and concave. Thicker in the middle than at its edges, a convex lens The NOAIDA lens Spherical make things appear bigger, much like how you might use a magnifying glass to look at small objects. However, concave lenses are thinner in the middle than at edges. All they do is make things appear smaller, a little like looking through the spy hole in your front door. Isn’t that neat?

The Varied Forms of Spherical Lenses

Spherical lenses of different geometrical forms exist making them unique! Shapes include: Plano-convex, elliptical-Plano, double concave and many more A Plano-convex lens is a flat plate on one side and bumps out in the center, while it is curved otherwise. Plano-concave lenses are flat on one side and have a bowl shaped dip cut out of the other, kind of like you scooped an ice cream from half your morning cereal. Curved outwards on both sides — double convex lens: when u take two bumps and place them together A double concave lens bends inward on both sides, just like two bowls put together.
